RANDOM...

I was going through some photos the other day and found this one of my Great Grandma Parsley and me when I was about 8 months old. I wish everyone had a grandma as cool as her. Even at 93 when she died she was so bomb. This pic makes me smile inside. Lately Grace has been obsessed with princesses. I'm seriously afraid she might truly be upset at the news one day that she isn't a real princess. (We'll just keep that between you and me.) Everything is princess this, princess that.

One of many daily conversations that involves princess talk:

Mom: Grace, what kind of birthday party do you want?

Grace: Princess!

Mom: Which princess?

Grace: Seeping Boouy! (Sleeping Beauty)

Mom: Okay. What kind of cake do you want?

Grace: Princess!

Mom: Grace, what is your favorite color?

Grace: Princess!

Mom: What do you want for dinner?

Grace: Princess!

Mom: Okay Grace.

This is how Lily prefers to roll when she is at home. Can't blame her, looks comfy. We can't keep a diaper on her to save our lives. We have resorted to using clear packing tape at times. Hey, whatever works.

Lily has gotten so big, but every time she goes for a check up we end up leaving with the news that she is just still a little squirt. She looks like such a big girl playing in the sand with Corbin.

Lily in the sink taking a bath just minutes after she threw up all over the tile and carpet. Luckily it was juice and came up clear. If it were something red, it would have looked like a murder scene in our kitchen.

While Grace is into princesses, Lily is pretty charmed by Elmo these days. This was this morning in her room while she was watching Elmo.
Another sick picture. She has been sick the last few nights, but only at night. We found out she has an intolerance to the milk she has been drinking for the past 18 months. I'm hopeful that maybe this is the reason she still doesn't sleep through the night. We will be able the tell in about the next five or six weeks. If that is the problem...HIP HIP HOORAY! Maybe we can all start getting some zzzzzz's at night night like normal people do!

I took Grace to get some new shoes the other day. Excuse me, but when did my little sugar stack start wearing size 7? (Sniff, sniff, big sigh.....)
My little love frolicking through the grass at Corbin's birthday party this weekend.

Here are a few Grace "ism's"
1. Last night we were driving home and Lily was SCREAMING for her life. She has been sick and has a really bad diaper rash. After about 10 minutes of nothing held back screaming Grace took her juice out of her mouth and yelled "Baby sissy STOP!!!!!!" It actually worked for a second, then we were back to square one.
2. "Mom, I have to potty."
"Okay, go ahead. Do you need help?"
"Yes."
As soon as I get to the bathroom to help her, "MOM, GO OUT!"
3. "Mommy, I so funny!" She says this at least five times a day.
4. At night when we say our prayers before bed I always give the girls a kiss goodnight and make sure they kiss each other also. Grace looks at Lily each night, gives her a tiny little smooch and says, "I love my baby sissy."
5. This is my personal fave: (Keep in mind, it doesn't matter what my original response is to her. This is how the conversations always go.)
Grace: "Mom, where are we going?"
Me: "To the store."
Grace: "Why?"
Me: "We need to get stuff for dinner."
Grace: "Why?"
Me: "Because we have to eat."
Grace: "Why mom?"
Me: "Because we will get really hungry if we don't."
Grace: "Why mom?"
Me: "Because our tummies need food to help us stay healthy."
Grace: "Why?"
Me: ........................ (BACK
Grace: ........................... AND FORTH
Me: ........................ BACK
Grace: ........................... AND FORTH
Me: ........................ BACK
Grace: ........................... AND FORTH)
..........................................still going........
Finally the end of this conversation is quickly closing in on Grace. After several minutes of this, it always comes back to the same answer.
Me: "Because that is how God made us."
Grace: "Why?"
Me: "Because he loves us."
Grace: ...........Long pause...................."Ohhhhh."
It starts out really cute, gets really annoying, then ends up being cute again.
I love these little girls.

I LOVE THESE GIRLS!!so is that what you found out about the milk? if so that could be why she has a really bad diaper rash, cause thats where maddie breaks out to cause the allergy comes out in their potty and burns their butt.
