We finally had our 5K this morning up at the Trails in Summerlin. It went perfect and we all had such a great time. We ended up raising $700.00 for the Nie Recovery Fund! Holly and I were so excited to get this organized but we are so glad it is over with now, too stressful around the holidays. There were just over 100 people there to help support the cause, and considering the fact that this was just based on donations we chalked it up to a success when all was said and done. We received gift card donations from Sport Chalet and Costco, and Great Harvest and Atlanta Bread donated TONS of bagels, breads, muffins and pastries. We won't talk about the balloon guy...... This of course is on top of all of our wonderful friends and family who woke their kids up early today to come out and help with everything from set up to take down. Amber took all of the photographs for us, Megan and Clayton woke up extra early to come and help us, and Holly split the "running around duties" with me to get everything picked up. Did I mention that all three of them are pregnant and feeling a little crappy right now? There were so many other people there helping us by bringing supplies and keeping everyone organized so thank you so so much.
